Bring a toy

Information for Swappers

Pudsey Toy Swap is run by Volunteers only, we have no paid workers or Leeds City Council Funding. This is a community event, run by members of our community.

You are not required to bring a swap to participate, but we ask that if you are able to and have suitable items please do so we can maximise the number of children benefiting from the event.

We welcome cash/card donations as an alternative or in addition to swap items, but this is not mandatory. Donations help us to cover the costs of running these events such as room hire and Public Liability Insurance. Smaller costs are currently, very kindly, covered by volunteers.

The main aims of the events are to help as many families as possible, easing the burden of present buying for children and reducing landfill waste by encouraging the use of pre-loved items.

To make these events successful we rely on your support, which can take many forms, by cash donation, bringing swap items, attending our events and just spreading the word to others who could benefit from what we do.

How it works

Clear out. Come along. Find a gem.

Pudsey Toy Swap is all about giving good toys another go around. Donate things your family has finished with, browse what others have brought, or simply come along and take something your little one will love. You don't need to bring a toy to take one.

  1. Have a clear out

    Got toys, books or games your children have grown out of? As long as they're clean, complete and in good condition, we'd love to give them another life.

  2. Drop them off

    You don't have to wait until swap day. Donations can be dropped off ahead of the event, helping us get everything sorted and ready for families to browse.

  3. Come along

    Pop down to Pudsey House on swap day and have a look through what's available. It's completely free and open to local families.

  4. Find something new

    See something your child would love? Take it home and give it a new lease of life.

  5. No swap? No problem.

    You don't need to bring something to take something. The Toy Swap is about helping local families and keeping perfectly good toys in use, not keeping score.
